Happy 4th of July! Happy Independence Day!

Here on Life with Lynnie (LwL), I celebrated Canada Day! on July 1st.
Today, being July 4th,
the celebration is for my American friends and family.
Happy 4th of July... Independence Day!
Even though I was born Canadian,
even though I live in Canada,
when I was a child,
I lived in USA for a few years.
In fact, I began school, there...
in Detroit, Michigan, USA.
Every morning, we held our right hands
over our hearts
and recited the
Pledge of Allegiance:
I pledge allegiance
 to the Flag
of the United States of America,
and to the Republic
for which it stands,
one Nation under God,
with liberty and justice
for all.
Even though I am Canadian,
I have an affinity
for USA.
In some ways,
I feel like I am both
Canadian and American,
even if I'm truly not.
So to you,
my American family and friends
I wish you...
While we celebrate independence in July for both
Canada and USA,
we must take the time to recognize
who is truly in control
of everything in life.
And, be thankful for blessings
given to us,
just as we are told in
Psalm 33:12, "Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord;
and the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance."
May God bless both nations I love...
Canada & America!
Until next time...
