Fundamental Truths...

From time to time, here on Life with Lynnie (LwL), I write about controversial issues.  Today, is one of those days.

There are those who believe we should not look at Islam as being an institution where Muslims are indoctrinated to become terrorists.  I disagree.

In fact, I tend to agree with Michael Goodwin, who is the author of the following article that was posted in Fox News, April 29/13.

Radical Islam and Obama's willful blindness

According to a relative of Tamerlan Tsarnaev, the Chechen immigrant believed there is “oppression of the Muslim population around the world.” The relative described Tsarnaev to The New York Times this way: “He was angry that the world pictures Islam as a violent religion.”

Bombing the Boston Marathon was the Tsarnaev brothers’ way of defending Islam. To say their argument boomeranged, however, isn’t fully true. Not as long as the Obama administration puts religious blinders on the defenders of our homeland.

The moral of the story is that political correctness kills.

At its core, the Boston case reveals two fundamental truths. One, not all Muslims are terrorists. Two, in recent times, almost all terrorists are Muslims.

Willie Sutton robbed banks because that’s where the money is. Police didn’t catch him by staking out lemonade stands.

By the same logic, preventing terrorism requires close scrutiny of Muslim men leaning toward violent jihad. Had they followed that logic, the FBI could have prevented the bombing.

The statement that stuck out in my mind, was the one which reads, "At its core, the Boston case reveals two fundamental truths. One, not all Muslims are terrorists. Two, in recent times, almost all terrorists are Muslims."

In my opinion, I must agree with Michael Goodwin.  Why?  Well, I cannot recall the last time I read, saw on the news or even remotely heard of terrorist activities being done by anyone other than Muslims.

While we, as members of the North American community, are not at war with Islam, I believe Islam is at war with us.

If this weren't the case, terrorist activities would not be happening here.  Or, maybe I should qualify that statement, our governments would not also be working on preventing attacks.  Like the one that would have happened in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, had our government not arrested two (2) Muslim men, who alledgedly (not proven yet in court) plotted to bomb in a potential railway incident.

Speaking of being at war, I was reminded of Ecclesiastes 3:8, "A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace."

For those who do not yet believe Islam is at war with us infidels, I feel sorry for you.  And, I will pray for you.

I do my part, as best I can, in speaking up for truth.  God's truth.

Although God says there is a time of war, there is also a time of peace.  If we do not take up and put on our full armour of God, and do our best to fight this regime that is attacking throughout the whole world, we will not be doing God's work.

What I mean is, we need to show these people love.

While we may need to fight their attacks on a human level, the war in which we fight is more spiritual.  We need to pray for these people.  Plant seeds for Christ, and pray for them.

Until next time...
