As I wrote yesterday on Life with Lynnie (LwL), my laptop computer stopped working, Tuesday.
After the curser began jumping all over the place, my computer's screen went black, once again. I decided to take it to Staples, for repair.
Once there, I was told that since it was no longer under manufacturer's warranty, but rather was covered by the extended warranty I had purchased, I would need to call their toll-free number and get approval to have my computer sent off to their centre that handles repair work.
This, I did. Right at their store.
Afterwards, paperwork was done. It was packaged, along with the case number, and sent off.
I need to say that it wasn't easy for me to do this.
Not just because it's not easy living without my computer. Actually, I'm referring to the idea of having to transport the unit.
I needed to carry it. As you know, I'm recovering from surgery. Two (2) surgeries, in fact. And, neither of them went well. Not well enough for me to be healed, yet.
At this time, I'm still not supposed to be lifting anything, or carrying anything.
Sigh... It wasn't easy.
After praying about how to transport my laptop, I felt that God assisted me, by giving me direction as to what to do. Just as when I have picked up a couple items at a grocery store, I used a tote bag.
I used the tote bag in the same way I do for light purchases. I literally hung it on my cane, as I walked. This way, my cane bore the brunt of the weight of my computer. And, not me. Except, when I had to move my cane forward.
Just so you know, since my knee has improved, I haven't needed to use my cane for a long time, now. However, I always bring it with me, when I leave home. Just in case my knee gives out on me again, the way it did, in the past. This way, if I need it, it's with me; even if I have left it in my van.
Thinking about how God helped me and showed me a way to do this, reminded me of Philippians 4:13, "I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me."
God helps me. Always.
He provides me wisdom. Strength. And, shows me that I indeed, can do all things. By trusting in Him.
For this, I praise God! Thank You, Lord!
Until next time...
