Thank you to all who prayed for my friends I wrote about in yesterday's Life with Lynnie (LwL) entry. May God bless you.
A few days ago, something strange happened. I wrote about it, previously.
While swelling and pain decreased in one area of my abdomen, I began to swell and have pain in another area.
You may recall that I telephoned my surgeon/doctor's office in the hopes of seeing him, as soon as possible. Unfortunately, he's away on vacation and won't return to work, until about a week before my scheduled appointment with him, at the end of this month.
Since then, I've had another development. It happened, yesterday.
The new area of swelling increased in size and became very, very painful. So painful, that I almost made my way to the Emergency Room (ER) at the hospital.
Not wanting to involve another surgeon/doctor into this complicated situation I've been experiencing, I made the decision to not go to the hospital.
Then, I had another new development. One that I'm not sure is good, or not good. Only God knows for sure.
The newly swelled and painful area began bleeding. Through my skin.
At first, it was only a light pinkish colour. Progressively, it changed colour, until it was blood red. The flow lessened, and once again reverted back to the pinkesh colour.
Thankfully, the pain lessoned, and so did the swelling. And, I praise God for this!
Yes, I am still swollen, but not to the same extent. And, the bleeding stopped. To me, that was the main concern.
Speaking about blood, what happened to me brought to mind Exodus 12:13, "And the blood shall be to you for a token upon the houses where ye are: and when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you, when I smite the land of Egypt."
How fitting to think about this Bible verse, considering we are in the month of Passover! Here's a LINK for you to read more, if you so desire.
Passover... when Jewish people celebrate and remember how when the people of Israel were enslaved in Egypt, trying to leave but the Pharoah wasn't allowing them to go. How God instructed them to make a sacrifice and place the blood on the door way of their homes, to prevent tragedy from happening to His chosen people.
Due to the Pharoah not allowing them to leave Egypt, God elected to have all first borns to die. People, and animals. No one was exempt from this plague that would attack the country.
No one, except those who belonged to Him, that is. Those who were obedient to His calling, who did what He commanded them to do... and placed the blood around the doorway, trusting God for His protection.
Hopefully, the blood that I experienced exiting my body wasn't a negative body reaction. I am praying that it was a form of healing. May it be that some of the body fluid and/or blood that needed to be drained out of my body, followed the path of least resistance and exited.
Whether or not this is the case, I do not know. As I said earlier, only God knows these things.
So, I will continue trusting Him and praying that the new area of swelling, that bled out partially yesterday, won't rise again, painfully. I will trust my Lord, to keep any pain, bleeding or drainage and/or any other physical situation under control until I can see my surgeon/doctor.
And, I will continue trusting my Great Physician, for total, restorative healing.
Until next time...
