More to Be Thankful About...

As I mentioned in yesterday's Life with Lynnie (LwL) entry, I am truly thankful.

First and foremost, I'm thankful for my Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.

I'm thankful for good friends and family, who show me love, regularly.  I'm thankful to everyone for praying for healing for me.  And, I'm thankful for what happened yesterday.

I had some great news yesterday from my nurse, D.

She had been off on the weekend, when a substitute nurse redressed my incision. So, it had been since last Thursday since she saw what she calls... my wound.

After D removed the dressing, she had a shocked look on her face, that changed into a wide smile. Then, she told me that she was shocked to see how much healing my wound had done over the better part of a week.

To be honest, I was shocked and surprised hearing this from her.  She also said that if this healing continues, she'll be able to discharge me as a patient, soon.

As I've said in other entries, I believe the vitamins that I was finally able to begin taking once again, are boosting my immune system, encouraging this healing.  God brought them into my life years ago, but as I said in another entry, while in hospital, and even after I returned home and was taking antibiotics, I wasn't able to take them.

While I believe the vitamins have helped me, I know and believe with all my heart, that prayer has done the most for me.  I believe prayer works.

And, I thank all who have been praying for healing for me.  May God bless you!

Thank You, Lord!

D let me know that even if she discharges me, she wants to keep in touch. She will want to know what the result of my ultrasound test is, and what the surgeon says about why I have swelling, pain, tenderness, etc. in that area.

Again, I praised God and thanked Jesus!

This brought to mind Psalm 30:11-12, "Thou hast turned for me my mourning into dancing: thou hast put off my sackcloth, and girded me with gladness; To the end that my glory may sing praise to thee, and not be silent. O Lord my God, I will give thanks unto thee for ever."

I've said it before and I'll say it again, that life isn't easy. And, it's not always kind. But, I am thankful for loving people God has brought into my life.  People like you, who have given of themselves, for me... by praying regularly for healing for me.

I feel blessed.  Truly blessed.

But, mostly I'm thankful for my Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, who helps me through each day of my life.

Until next time...
