Once again, I apologize.  I know, I did it, again.  In yesterday's Life with Lynnie (LwL) entry, I said I would have to continue writing about my trip with my friend M, over to Peche Island

However, since today is my Lord's Day, I felt compelled to write about my day, today.

All weekend, and right until this morning, I wasn't sure if I was going to worship at my own church, today.  Part of me wanted to go worship at another church, here in Windsor.

Today is the first SONday of the month.  This made it... Communion Sunday.  This kept drawing me towards worshipping at my own church.

The deciding factor though, was something I hadn't counted on.

You see, last SONday, a Facebook (FB) friend of mine, A who is also a young brother-in-the-Lord at my church, had loaned me a set of four (4) DVD's.  Through the week, I made sure I watched each DVD.

While doing so, I realized that I had heard some of this information, previously.  In fact, when I returned the series to A, I related some information to him.  He seemed surprised, when I let him know I knew of the three (3) men, who created the series of DVD's.  But, this is a topic for another day.

In any case, since I was finished watching the DVD series that I wanted to return to A, and realizing it was Communion Sunday, I decided to worship at my church, today.

Off I went, a few minutes earlier than normal.  Enroute, just a block or so away from church, I stopped at the house I own to drop off something to my daughter P.  She and her family have been living in the house, for the past few months.

Yes, the home she had been living in, has been prepared for sale, and is in fact on the market.  Here's a link to a Kijiji ad I recently posted in the Toronto area:

As you know, I don't usually use LwL for work purposes, but the fact remains that P and her dad are hoping the home will sell, either to a family, or to an investor, since it's suitable for University student rental, quickly.

Once at church, I was really happy I had decided to worship at my church.  Yes, I returned the set of DVDs to A.  And yes, I sat with my friend A and her husband K.  But, I also got to say hello to my previous pastor's family, who joined us for worship service, today!  What a lovely surprise this was!

Wow!  This brings to mind the fact that while we may be surprised at things in life, God is not.

In Isaiah 46:9-10, we are told, "Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me, Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure:"

Yes, God knows everything.  He knows the end from the beginning.  What an awesome God!

Until next time...
