If you read yesterday's Life with Lynnie (LwL) entry, you'll know that last Wednesday, I met at Tim Horton's with Wendy Taylor.
In addition to Wendy participating in ministry, she is also a fellow Christian writer. And, she authored a book entitled, Just Call Me Mom. For more information about how to obtain a copy, please click on this LINK.
Since we are both authors, we exchanged a signed copy, so that we could read each other's work and become more familiar with each other. In addition, Wendy also gave me a copy of one of her devotional booklets entitled, 31 Day Spa Series, Inhaling God's Word. Thank you, Wendy! May God bless you, my new friend.
I must say, Wendy has had quite a life!
Knowing that I don't want spoil her story in any way, I won't go into much detail about Wendy and her husband Glenn's life together. I will say that they have honoured God, every step of their journey in life. And, they have been blessed in many ways.
I thoroughly enjoyed reading Just Call Me Mom. If you have the chance to read it, I'm sure you'll be blessed, also.
Something I failed to mention in yesterday's entry, was that Wendy invited me to join her small group of women who are working together on arranging the next women's conference scheduled for November, this year.
Even though I am a busy person, I decided that this was something I needed to do. Thank you, Wendy! I appreciate this, more than you know.
The Women of Influence conference is scheduled for Saturday, November 10th, 2012, 9:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m., at the Collavino Hall, WFCU Communtiy Centre, 8787 McHugh St., Windsor, Ontario, Canada.
As you can see, I scanned and posted the conference information large enough that you can read it. If you would like more information, or obtain tickets, please contact Wendy Taylor at email@example.com
One thing I can say is that I am never ashamed of my Lord. I am always grateful to be able to work for my Lord, in whatever way He provides.
This reminded me of Psalm 34:5, "They looked unto him, and were lightened: and their faces were not ashamed."
Hopefully, you and I share that same feeling, of never being ashamed of working for our Lord.
Oh dear. I just realized that I still haven't told you about the rest of my day last Wednesday. Sigh. Hopefully, you'll join me, tomorrow.
Until next time...
