If you're a regular reader of Life with Lynnie (LwL), you'll know that I exercise in the pool five (5) to six (6) times per week. And, usually between 45 minute and 75 minutes per day.
Well, on Friday, I was a bad girl. I didn't get any pool exercise done, at all.
Why? Well, I was rushed off my feet. When I have too much on my plate, something usually ends up being left out. This past Friday, it was my pool workout.
In addition to doing everything I needed to do that day, I also needed to prepare supper for my ex-workmate/friend C, who as you are aware, is wheelchair bound.
I realize it would have been easier just to have done my pool workout and picked up dinner, but that wasn't what I had planned. And, because I had made sure I had everything on hand to make a meal that day, it made more sense to me to just go ahead and make the meal.
And, that's what I did.
Of course, this meant I had to transport everything over to C's apartment. Most often, it isn't difficult to find a place to park, but of course Murphy was alive and well that day! It took me some time to finally get parked.
Eventually, I made my way into the building, through the two (2) sets of doors where I needed to be buzzed in, up the elevator and into C's apartment. Phew! It makes me tired just writing about this!
Once there, I finished putting our meal together and we enjoyed a great time of food and fellowship.
Of course, as I normally do, I helped C with some computer work. Even so, it was a good time. At least for me; hopefully, for him, as well.
Originally, we had agreed to attend a movie at a church that is in the core area of Windsor, but not really close to C's apartment. The trouble was though, that it had rained and looked like it was going to rain, once again.
So, instead of C taking the bus and wheeling himself to meet me a the church, I ended up going alone.
The people who were hosting the movie event are owners of From the Heart, a store on Ottawa St., where copies of my book Love Never Fails You... www.lynniebooks.blogspot.com are available for sale. Both women are nurses in their full-time jobs and operate their business with hired help.
The movie Forks Over Knives was shown to quite a crowd. Click on the name of the movie and you'll find it is a link I posted, leading you to a website that talks about the movie and the book.
I found it to be informative and certainly inspired me to begin making some changes in my eating habits.
Something happened there that evening that I thought was very nice of these ladies to do, for me. J introduced me as the author of Love Never Fails You... and commented how she read my book, completely; from beginning to end. And, let everyone know I had quite a story.
Thank you so much, J. I appreciate this more than you know. And, I appreciate the fact that afterwards, they sold some copies of my book. Again, thank you! May God bless you... for your kindness towards me.
These store owners are Christian women. Women, who are also thankful to God, for everything in their lives. And, praise God for this!
In 1 Corinthians 15:57 we are told, "But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ."
I am thankful to God. Not just for inspiring me to write Love Never Fails You... But, also for providing Christian people, like these women, who love our Lord, Jesus Christ as I do, to come along side of me, encourage me, and assist me in promoting and distributing my written work, honouring Him. Thus, giving me victory, through Jesus! Thank You, Lord.
Until next time...
