Wow!  Today, all day, I've felt truly blessed.  And, thankful.  Before I tell you the huge reason for my joy and thankfulness, I would like to write about how God blessed me, today.

This morning when I got moving, I read the paper, and did some computer work.  Knowing that I needed to go out first thing, I prayed that God would provide for me.

Anyone who lives in our area, knows that we experienced a severe thunder storm, this morning.  Lightning was so strong, I wondered if it would strike our building!  Yes, I was thanking God we have a lightning rod..

In any case, after much prayer, the storm seemed to subside.  So, I quickly left home and went to do what I knew I needed to do.

What was so wonderful, was that the storm didn't seem to just lighten up, it stopped.  Just as I had prayed for.  You see, I hate getting soaked, especially when I know that I cannot put off doing something.

Thank You, Lord for stopping the storm and the rain!  Yes, I appreciated doing all my errands, and making all the stops I needed to do, without getting drenched!

When I pulled into my parking garage, the weather was clear.  By the time I arrived in my apartment, it was once again storming.  Ooooeee!  Here we go again, I thought.

Now, I would like to tell you the huge reason for my joy and thankfulness today.  It doesn't have to do with me, but rather, it has to do with my daughter B, her family, and one of her neighbours, in relation to this storm we experienced.

As B was doing laundry, it was storming outside.  All of a sudden she saw some flames arcing from some nearby wiring!  Thank You Lord, that it didn't start her home on fire!

After it stopped arching, she returned to her main level, looked outside and saw her neighbour's home burning, across the street.

B's neighbour's burning house.

When I spoke with her, B let me know that there was no one home, at her neighbour's blazing property.  For this, I praise God and thank Jesus!

However, it will be a severe shock when they return home to find their home burned to the ground, with nothing much left.  If you believe in prayer, please pray for this family.  Thank you.  May God bless you, friend.

God told us in Ephesians 5:20-21, "Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ; Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God."

Life is not easy.  Giving thanks in all things, may be easier said, than done, for this family whose home tragically burned down, today.  Still, this is what God called us to do.  It is my prayer that God will provide for them and all their needs.

Even in the tough times, we must look to our Lord, and to Him only, to help us through those rough times.  Even when we feel we have lost everything.

From my own past life experiences, I can tell you this is not a simple thing to do.  But, God gives us the strength we need, when we look to Him.

Again, thank you for prayer, for all who need it.  May God bless you, friend.

Until next time...
