Happy 4th of July!

In the United States of America (USA), today is Independence Day!  If you would like to read more about this special day, please click on this LINK.

Just as we in Canada celebrate our country's birthday on July 1st annually, our American friends celebrate their country's birthday on July 4th.  To read more about this, please click on this LINK.

Yes, I realize I am Canadian and not American!

Even so, when I was a child, I lived in USA for a few years.  It is a part of me, just as being Canadian is a part of me.

The freedom they enjoy in USA, is similar to the freedom we enjoy, here in Canada.  And, I must say, that generally speaking, whatever happens in and to USA, usually happens here too, eventually.

Besides, I enjoy wishing people Happy ...anything!  It's always nice to celebrate with friends.

Of course, here in Canada, when we celebrate anything with our US friends, it is usually said that we are celebrating with our neighbours to the south.  However, for those of us living in Windsor, Ontario, Canada, we are not really USA's northerly neighbours.

Why would I say this?

Well, if you look at a map of North America, you'll see that indeed USA is our southern neighbour, for most of Canada, but not for us in Windsor, Ontario, and our nearby areas.

In this case, USA is our northerly neighbour!  (Oops... maybe I should be saying neighbor for you, my American friends!)  :)

Yes, that's right, we in my area of Canada, are actually south of USA!

So, to my northerly neighbours/neighbors, and to all my American friends
I wish you...
 Happy Birthday, USA!

Happy Independence Day!
Happy 4th of July!

May God bless you, always.

Until next time...
