However, I realize some of you cannot open links, and since this article is fairly short, I will repost it, here:
A straw poll by The Sunday Telegraph, in England, in which people were asked five questions about the Easter story, found that some of the most basic details were known by as few as half of those polled.
Only about half of those quizzed - 55 per cent - were able to correctly name Judas Iscariot - or at least "Judas" - as the betrayer of Jesus. One of those taking part, Alexis Smith, 30, from Huddersfield, said Jesus had been betrayed by Judas Priest while Paige Johnson, 19, from Water Orton, Warwickshire, said it had been Christ's brother. Other responses included Peter, Moses, "Nazarus" and "Judas Escargot."

How sad! Don't you think? I do.
But then, there are many who consider themselves to be Christian and are really truly, not. Most who are like this, think they are, because they were born into a so-called Christian family.
Most of these people do not read their Bible, for if they did, they would know that in John 3:7 we are told that we must be born-again. In fact, here is what Jesus said in John 3:7, "Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again."
Anyone who doesn't read their Bible, not only doesn't know they need to be born-again, but also doesn't know how to become born-again! Or, in other words, saved. Of course, we who have read and memorized Bible verses, know how one becomes born-again.
John 3:16 tells us, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Acts 16:31 says, "And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you shall be saved, and your house."
Put those two (2) verses together, and in a nutshell, you have the gospel. The true Gospel message, where we know that if we trust in Jesus Christ, we will be saved. God's promise to us.
Some people don't agree with me.
That's okay. No one needs to. God gave us all free-will, to do as we please. To think as we please. To choose, life or death.
Need proof? God told us in Deuteronomy 30:19, "I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live:"
So, my friend, if you are not yet trusting in Jesus Christ, for your salvation, I urge you to do so, today. So, you may live. Forever.
Until next time...
