Book Signing, at Chapters...

Last night, once again, I didn't sleep well.  In fact, I was up half the night.

No, I didn't have some overwhelming problem to deal with.  Although, I must admit that what happened the other night, didn't disturb my sleep until last night.

For some reason, I just couldn't get that episode that I wrote about in yesterday's Life with Lynnie (LwL) entry, regarding the meeting with the group of men, off my mind.

All I can say, is that I'm glad I didn't have an early morning appointment.  I finally fell asleep close to about 5:00 a.m.,  so even though it may sound like I slept in to about 9:00 a.m., it sure wasn't sleeping in, to me!  lol

When I was finally ready to leave home, it was about noon.

Making my way across town, I decided to stop at my daughter P's home, for a few minutes.  Then, I headed quickly for Devonshire Mall.

No, I wasn't going shopping!  Rather, I was scheduled to begin a book signing event once again, at Chapters book store.

Yes, I know... I had been there just a few weeks ago, doing a book signing event, for my book  Love Never Fails You...  However, since I had done really well with book sales, I had been rescheduled for another event.

Today, was the day.

Just after I got the table organized with my display, I noticed one of the men from the group meeting the other night, walking with his son close to where I was located.  It didn't surprise me that this man didn't stop and say hello.

What did surprise me was that God once again provided for me.

While I did not sell the same number of copies of my book this time, as I did last time, the manager told me that once again, I sold more copies than the average author does, at these events.  And, she commented that it was almost unheard of for anyone to sell the number of copies that I sold when I did my first event there.

For this, I praise God and thank Jesus!

Something interesting happened, today.  A short time apart, a couple of past clients of mine, stopped by the table.  Surprised to see me, we chatted for a few minutes.

During my conversation with one of these women, she made some comments with regard to the title of my book.  And, she asked some questions about it.

In the past, this woman had informed me that she was walking with God.  However, today I had a different feeling.  I even wondered if she had changed from being Catholic to Islam.  But no, I didn't ask.

For sure, it became apparent that she didn't know the Bible well enough to know that we are told in 1 Corinthians 13:8, "Love never fails: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away."

Yes, she seemed shocked to hear this.  All I can say, is I prayed for her.

Until next time...
