A Song For You...

As you would know if you read yesterday's Life with Lynnie (LwL) entry, I sang a capella (without music) during my apartment complex's deck party and BBQ, on Sunday afternoon.

As I mentioned yesterday, the song I sang was by The Carpenter'sA Song For You.  Here's a LINK to read about it.

Here is a Youtube video with lyrics: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xJyXSUhN2ZY

And, here is a link to my re-writen Christian lyrics that I sang of A Song For You:

I've been so many places in my life and times
I've sung a lot of songs I've made some bad rhymes
I've acted out my love on stages
With ten thousand people watching
But we're alone now and I'm singing this song for You

I know Your image of me is what I hope to be
I've treated You unkindly but Jesus I'm glad You see
There's no one more important to me
Jesus, I'm so glad You saved me
Cause we're alone now and I'm singing this song for You

You taught me precious secrets of the Truth withholding nothing
You came out in front when I was hiding
But now I'm so much better and if my words don't go together
Just listen to the melody cause my love is in there hiding

I love You in a place where there's no space or time
I love You for all my life You've been a friend of mine
And when my life is over we'll be in heaven, together
But we're alone and I'm singing this song for You

You taught me precious secrets of the Truth withholding nothing
You came out in front when I was hiding
But now I'm so much better and if my words don't go together

Just listen to the melody cause my love is in there hiding

I love You in a place where there's no space or time
I love You for all my life You've been a friend of mine
And when my life is over we'll be in heaven, together
But, we're alone now and I'm singing this song for You

We're alone and I'm singing this song, for You

This put me in mind of Psalm 30:4, "Sing unto the Lord, O ye saints of his, and give thanks at the remembrance of his holiness."

As you can tell, I love to sing for my Lord, giving Him all the praise and honour, in remembrance of Him!

Until next time...
