If you've been a reader of Life with Lynnie (LwL) for a while, you'll know that I go to the YMCA/YWCA (Y) to exercise in the pool.
I must qualify that statement. At least, until the beginning of this year, I was doing that.
Early this year, the pool filter system and pump broke down. The pool was unavailable for use, for several weeks. In fact, almost three (3) months.
When I was able to return to exercising in the water, I found my schedule no longer allowed Saturday's to fit in. So, I began just going Monday to Friday, early in the morning.
Shortly after restarting my pool routine, I got sick. Until I was better, I didn't attend the Y. No pool exercise for me!
However, eventually, I did return to the Y, to be able to re-establish my exercise programme in the water.
One thing I found was that I could no longer work out in the pool for the length of time I had been, previously. No more 100 repetitions. No more one to one and a quarter (1 - 1 1/4) hour workouts.
I did what I could, which was usually a three-quarter (3/4) of an hour exercise time period.
Well, last Saturday, I was able to drive to the Y and workout, so I did. My Y friends N & J were there, also. Boy, were they surprised to see me! And, I... them!
They had recently returned to the Y, after J had recovered enough from surgery. But, none of us expected to run into each other on a Saturday!
Actually, I was glad I did meet up with my friends, because this would be the last time I would attend the Y, until this coming fall. Yes, I'll return there, probably late September, or early October.
Before leaving, I did the paperwork to put my membership on hold, until I am ready to return. After all, there is no reason to drive halfway across town, when the pool is now open in my apartment complex.
Feeling truly blessed, I couldn't help but be reminded about how God blesses me, all the time. Psalm 67:7, tells us, "God shall bless us; and all the ends of the earth shall fear him."
He certainly blesses me. Usually in the small things, but from time to time, in the bigger things of life, also.
Friend, my question to you is, does God bless you?
Firstly, I must ask, are you saved? If not, you need to be. If you are saved, are you living/walking in the spirit? Hopefully, so. I'll pray for you. May God bless you!
Until next time...
