Those of you who have been reading recent entries in Life with Lynnie (LwL) know that last Saturday, my daughter B and I participated in a Garage Sale, at Guardian Storage, here in Windsor.
Thank you to you, my friends, who messaged and/or e-mailed me asking how it went. I'm happy to say that it went well!
As I mentioned previously, two (2) vans full of stuff was taken to the site last Friday, and then B brought another van full, last Saturday. This made a total of three (3) vans full.
Throughout the day, I prayed that B would sell much. And, she did! For this I praise God and thank Jesus!
Not just because of the income she generated, but also because I hoped we would not have to make multiple trips back to her home with her inventory!
And, I am so very thankful God answered my prayer in a positive way!
We knew we had to be gone from the property by 4:00 p.m. However, about 2:00 p.m. it seemed that there were very vew people on the property. Other vendors began packing up and leaving. So, we decided to do the same.
As for me? Well, only one (1) person even looked at Gordon's golf set, bag and cart and never even discussed a price. So, I'm sorry to say, I had to take it home with me, again.
This is a problem for me, because every time I look at it, I think of him. And, how he stopped golfing after I was injured in the bus collision so many years ago. Since that time, I think I can count on one hand the number of times he golfed.
I recall Gordon telling me that whenever he was out on a golf course, it would upset him thinking of how we used to do this together. But, my injuries left me unable to golf, or do much physically that I had been used to doing prior to being hurt. Whenever I suggested he golf, he would tell me he no longer wanted to do this, because I couldn't golf with him.
Even though it breaks my heart to know I have to either sell them, or find someone to give them to, I know I must do this.
As for my book, Love Never Fails You... www.lynniebooks.blogspot.com , well it's enough to say that God blessed me with sales, that day! Thank You, Lord!
As I said, we began packing up about 2:00 p.m. or slightly after. Both our vehicles were packed solidly, but we managed to get everything stowed away!
No third (3rd) filled vehicle! God blessed B with enough sales that in essence she sold off the equivalent volume of one (1) filled van. Again, thank You, Lord!
Yes, we gave thanks then. And, I give thanks, now!
God always seems to know what we need. And, if we are tuned-in to Him, we recognize that He helps and provides for us.
Matthew 6:8 reminds us, "Don't be like them, because your Father knows what you need before you ask him." Amen, this is absolutely the truth!
He knows what our needs are. And, when we belong to Him, he provides for all our needs as He promised. For this, I'll be eternally grateful!
So, my question to you is... do you belong to Him?
I hope so! But, if you don't yet, or if you're not sure, you can know and be sure. Acts 16:31 tells us to believe on the Lord, Jesus Christ, and you shall be saved! Believe/trust in Him, friend!
Until next time...
