As I left home on Sunday to go worship, I knew in my heart it was going to be a really hot day. And, it was.
At suppertime, the temperature was still 89 F/ 31 C. Wow! Was I ever happy that our pool finally opened for the season.
It was supposed to have opened on June 1st, but it didn't. Firstly, because our temperatures dropped for about a week's time. Also, because we had new fencing installed around the pool area.
Yes, the new fencing looks great! Sorry, I didn't take a new pic to show you just how attractive it is. :( But, I will show you one I posted previously, so you can see what a great relaxation area it is!
Even though we now have new fencing, our pool area still looks like this!
I'm sure you can almost envision how relaxing it was to enter the pool, on such a hot day! :)
Unlike the above pic, the pool area had many people relaxing around the area, both in and out of the water. It was so nice though, to feel some relief from the heat, without having to be locked up indoors!
It was also nice to actually have some time to visit with people. Some friends and neighbours I hadn't seen since last summer. Some I had only said 'hello' to in the elevator, or in the common areas.
In any case, it was a very relaxing part of my evening. For this I am thankful, Lord.
This reminded me of yet another Bible verse. Luke 12:24, "Consider the ravens: for they neither sow nor reap; which neither have storehouse nor barn; and God feedeth them: how much more are ye better than the fowls?"
It never ceases to amaze me how God always seems to provide for me. He always seems to know not only what I need, but when I need it.
Friend, He knows your needs, too. He knows just what you need and when you need it. Trust in Him. Always.
Until next time...
