Before I begin today's Life with Lynnie (LwL) entry, I must comment on a couple of things.
Firstly, I would like to say how sorry I am that my real estate partner/friend C's daughter J died, yesterday. Please know I send condolences to you C, J's sons and other family members and friends. You are in my prayers.
In addition, I must thank God for bringing my daughter B, who has a heart murmur, through the surgery she had, yesterday. May God heal you, quickly.
On Monday evening, January 30th, I did something I hadn't done in a very long time and did something I don't normally do.
I attended a wine and cheese event, with my friend Mary Ann Lehmann and her husband Richard. They actually picked me up and brought me home, too!
Believe me when I say that I had never before been escorted from my home to any event of this nature, before. Thank you, my friends!
Mary Ann and I have known each other for a few years, now.
When we met, I was seated on one side of a desk and she on the other. I reviewed her application to become a mortgage consultant and interviewed with her. Eventually, we both agreed that becoming a mortgage consultant might be the employment she was suited to.
You see, at the time, not only was I a realtor, but I was also a mortgage consultant.
The broker I worked for owned both a real estate firm and a mortgage company. When he realized I would be an asset to his mortgage business, he asked me to put my real estate career on the back burner and work with him, both in Windsor and in London, Ontario, to expand his mortgage business.
This meant that I interviewed and hired people in both cities, and gave them their first basic training, concerning mortgages.
Yes, this is how I met Mary Ann.
After hiring her, she was one of the people I gave basic training, to. Eventually, she took more formal courses and became a fully-licensed mortgage agent.
Currently, she is employed by Invis, a mortgage brokerage firm, here in Canada. If you would like to contact her, either locate her through http://www.invis.ca/ using her name: Mary Ann Lehmann. Or, you could give her a call at 519 253-5100, for all your mortgaging needs.
Now, back to the wine and cheese event we attended on Monday. Why was this occasion happening? Well, her employer held a contest and the winning entry was someone, here in Windsor.
There's more to be said, but it will have to wait until tomorrow. Stay tuned, please!
Until next time...
