Afterwards, I went to visit my real estate partner/friend C, at the rehab place where he is currently staying. Hopefully, it is God's will to heal him, but it looks like it will be a slow process. Thank you to those who have been praying for C; may God bless you, richly. Please continue...
Arriving at home, I had work to do. Not work for real estate, but work nonetheless.
Knowing that I was having company for New Year's Day dinner, I needed to get moving and begin preparing for the meal. Okay, to some maybe it was to be more than a meal, a feast, perhaps. In any case, I had work to do!
Eventually, I made my way to my daughter P's home. After all, December 31st is my grandson S's birthday!
As per normal when it comes to family birthdays, I made a birthday cake! Here's S with his cake, after he had blown out all the candles. My camera didn't take the pic when I needed it to, so I took this photo, afterwards:
Happy Birthday, S!
Of course, after taking this pic, S put the first cut into the cake and we each enjoyed celebrating his birthday, with a slice of chocolate cake and chocolate icing!
Being New Year's Eve, normally I would have gone home and spent the rest of the evening with my husband, Gordon. But, since he's dead that's not possible.
For the last couple of years, I spent New Year's Eve with a friend. But, this year is different.
Recently I received an e-mail from the contact person for our coffee singles' group, who used to meet once monthly at a Tim Horton's coffee shop. This e-mail invited each recipient to attend a New Year's Eve celebration at a small church in the core area of Windsor.
That's where I headed! Tomorrow, I'll write more about this.
Until next time...
