Yesterday was Saturday.  Some people might think about sleeping in.  I certainly thought about it, but didn't do it.

Instead, I did what I knew I should do.  I got up and was at the YMCA/YWCA (Y) when it opened at 8:00 a.m.  As per normal for me, I did my pool exercise that took me close to one and a quarter (1 1/4) hours.

Afterwards, I made a few stops on my way home.

Ahhh, home.  By the time I got there, I was absolutely worn out.  It probably has something to do with having trouble sleeping, again.  For a few nights in a row, only my mind thought about sleep.  I just couldn't get much!

Until Friday night.  I slept like a log, then.  Probably because I was so very worn out by that time.

In any case, after working on my Christmas cards and gifts for a while, I just couldn't keep my eyes open.

Climbing into bed for an afternoon nap, I considered dozing for about a half hour.  Instead, I set my alarm for an hour.  One (1) hour!

When the alarm went off, I couldn't make myself get up.  lol  Feeling still exhausted, I reset my alarm for another hour.  That made two (2) hours!  Wow!  Talk about a restful 40 winks!  :-))

Even when I got up, I felt like I still could have slept longer.  My biggest worry was that my 40 winks x many, would interfere with my night's sleep.

After getting up, I got ready to go meet with my friends M & D.  If you're a long time reader of Life with Lynnie (LwL), you'll know that M & D and I get together, several times per year.

It had been a while since we had gotten together.  We didn't meet around the time of D's birthday.  Nor mine, although mine was just recently celebrated in other ways.  M's is coming up between Christmas and New Year's.

In the end, we decided to make it a birthday celebration of sorts, for all three (3) of us!

When Gordon was alive, the four (4) of us met for pizza, salad and dessert; fellowship time, of course.  Then, after Gordon died, for a time the three (3) of us met with my friend J.

So, as I mentioned, last night there was just the three (3) of us:  M, D, and I.

To be honest, it was the best time of conversation I think we've ever had!  Well, of course, that's only my opinion.  But, since I am the writer, I suppose my opinion matters!

Of course, we enjoyed our meal together, followed up with cake and tea!

Getting home late, I posted my LwL entry and hit the sack.  To my surprise, I was out like a light!  Praise God!  Thank You, Jesus!

Waking up refreshed, I honoured my God as I do every Sunday.  Of course, at church this week, being the first Sunday of the month, we celebrated Holy Communion.  That's my favourite Sonday of each month!

Afterwards, I saw my daughter P, for a short while, before visiting Gordon's grave at the cemetary and heading home, once more.

Before I forget, I'd like to thank God for answering my prayer.  Before church, I had prayed, asking Him to stop the rain by the time I was to visit the cemetary, so I wouldn't get soaked.  He answered my prayer.  For this, I am thankful!

Now that I've written this entry, that I will post later, I am thinking I may try another 40 winks this afternoon!  Wish me luck, friends.

Until next time...
